To make the most of your time at Go Bowling at The Glen, here are a few helpful tips to keep things easy, enjoyable, and focused on the fun.

Food and drink

Watkins Glen International allows fans to bring their own food and beverages into the grandstands – a great way to save money and stay comfortable during the event. Fans may bring soft-sided coolers with snacks and drinks. All bags and coolers are subject to security screening at the gates, so be ready for quick bag checks when entering.

If you prefer to buy food on-site, the track has plenty of food and beverage options available. You'll find everything from permanent concession stands to satellite vendors located near all major grandstands.

Note: Watkins Glen International is a cashless facility. Only credit cards, debit cards, and mobile payment methods are accepted at all sales points.

Staying connected

Before heading to the track, it’s a smart idea to save your digital tickets, venue map, and daily schedule on your phone. Keep in mind that mobile service can be spotty when the crowd is large, especially on Sunday.

If you’re meeting friends or family, it’s best to pick a meeting point and time ahead of time, just in case texts or calls don’t go through.

Noise levels

NASCAR is loud – that’s part of the thrill. But depending on your seat, especially near trackside grandstands, the sound can be intense. Bringing earplugs is a good idea, and younger fans should always have proper hearing protection.

Weather

Watkins Glen in August can bring hot afternoons, sun exposure, and the occasional chance of rain. It’s smart to pack sunscreen, wear a hat and sunglasses, and drink plenty of water throughout the day.
